Pro Golf Simulator Enclosure
Some golf rooms get shown off. Others get explained. The Pro is Carl's Place's premium, commercial-grade enclosure, built for the first kind: a rigid frame and higher screen tension hold the surface flatter, for a more finished look, because a projected image shows every ripple in a loose screen. For dedicated simulator rooms, golf academies, and luxury home bays where appearance carries weight.
Every kit ships with a triple-layer impact screen, the single-piece BlackStop™ wraparound enclosure, and steel corner fittings, all made in the USA. You source or add the 2-inch EMT frame that gives the Pro its rigidity, and the kit covers the rest.
- BlackStop™ single-piece wraparound darkens the room for deeper contrast and immersion
- Two premium, triple-layer screens: Premium and High-Contrast Gray
- 18 sizes in 5, 8, 10, and 15 ft depths
- Made in the USA

Carl's Place Pro Kit Assembly
See how the rigid frame, BlackStop™ wraparound, and triple-layer screen go together on the 2025 Pro model.
Built for a Finished, Pro-Grade Bay
BlackStop™ Wraparound
One continuous piece of black-out fabric wraps the whole bay. No gaps between panels, no stray light, and the room goes dark enough that the image is all you see.
Triple-Layer Premium Screen
Three layers split the work: a sharp, detailed picture up front, quiet, controlled impact behind it. Choose Premium white, or High-Contrast Gray for rooms with ambient light.
Borderless Floor-to-Turf
The cabled design pulls the image down to meet your turf with no bottom border, so the fairway starts where your floor ends.
Rigid 2-Inch EMT Frame
Heavier 2-inch steel EMT and higher screen tension hold the surface flatter than a standard build. On a projected image, flat is the difference you can see from the doorway.
Detachable Flaps
Secure fasteners hold the side flaps and foam exactly where they belong. Small detail, but it is the one that keeps a finished bay looking professional instead of improvised.
Home Bay to Commercial Venue
Eighteen sizes in depths from 5 to 15 ft cover a home room and a commercial venue with the same enclosure. The home version is not a lesser version.
Space You Will Need
Measure before you buy. These are the manufacturer's clearances for a safe, well-tensioned Pro bay. Plan your room around them and the build goes smoothly.
Who the Pro Enclosure Is Built For
The Commercial Operator
Customers judge the bay before the first swing. You need an enclosure that takes heavy daily use and still looks sharp for paying customers, week after week.
The Golf Academy
You teach and fit all day. A flat, true screen surface and a clean overhead sightline give your launch monitor and lesson video the setup they need.
The Luxury Home Build
Your sim room is on the house tour. You want the darker image and the finished look that make a guest stop talking when the projector comes on.
The Upgrader
You ran a net or a DIY bay long enough to notice the ripple in the screen and the light sneaking in at the edges. The flatter surface, rigid frame, and polished finish of the Pro tier fix what you noticed.
Carl's Place impact screens take real golf balls at full driver speed. Take your fastest swings. The BlackStop™ wraparound and released-tension design catch and absorb what the screen does not, protecting your room and gear.

From Box to First Swing
1. Measure Your Space
Confirm 10 to 12 ft of hitting distance, 2-3 in. of side buffer, 2-3 in. above the enclosure, and 12-16 in. behind the screen (9.5 in. minimum for the rear fittings).
2. Build the 2-Inch Frame
Cut 2-inch EMT to the included plan, or add the pre-cut Pipe Framing Kit, cut to the sizes on your diagram.
3. Wrap the BlackStop™
Hang the single-piece BlackStop™ enclosure on the frame with the steel corner fittings and secure the detachable flaps.
4. Tension the Screen
Hang the triple-layer screen and tension it with the included cable receivers, springs and zip ties for a flat, even, distraction-free surface.
5. Aim the Projector
Center the projector on the screen and dial in the image. Darker rooms (or the High-Contrast Gray screen) give the deepest blacks.
6. Let It Settle
Give the screen a couple of days under tension to relax any wrinkles, keep new balls clean, and you are set for thousands of swings.

Frequently Asked Questions
Each kit includes the premium triple-layer impact screen in your chosen material, the BlackStop™ single-piece black-out enclosure, foam inserts that keep stray shots from bouncing off the frame, all the fittings you need to build your frame, cable receivers, springs and zip ties, and a custom diagram showing how to assemble the frame and how long to cut your pipes (made in the USA). The 2-inch EMT frame pipe is supplied by you or added as an optional Pipe Framing Kit.
Plan for 10 to 12 ft of hitting distance from the screen, 2-3 in. of buffer on each side, 2-3 in. of buffer above the enclosure, and 12-16 in. of clearance behind the screen, with a minimum of 9.5 in. required for the rear fittings. Build the frame to the dimensions on your custom cut diagram for even tension.
Both are triple-layer premium screens. The Premium screen is the standard pick for most rooms. High-Contrast Gray uses the same three-layer build but delivers deeper blacks and crisper color, which helps most in rooms with ambient light.
The Pro frame is built from 2-inch steel EMT, which you can buy locally to save money using the included plan, or add the pre-cut Pipe Framing Kit for a no-measuring, no-cutting build. The kit includes the steel fittings and fasteners either way. Do not substitute PVC. It will not work with the fittings.
The Pro uses a rigid 2-inch EMT frame with higher screen tension for a flatter surface and a more finished look, plus the BlackStop™ wraparound. The Carl's Place DIY (C-Series) uses a simpler 1-inch frame and is the budget-friendly starting point. Choose Pro for dedicated rooms where screen quality and appearance matter most.
Yes. The optional Movable Crossbar is built to hold overhead launch monitors and includes the fittings, pipes, and a fabric sleeve sized to your enclosure for a clean, pro-level look. It positions the unit over the hitting area without adding clutter to the bay.
For the safety of both the golfer and the screen, the manufacturer recommends standing a minimum of 10 to 12 ft from the screen. This distance also helps prevent premature wear on the material.
Time, tension and gravity remove most wrinkles on their own within a couple of days. To speed that up, Carl's Place says you can use a clothes iron on a very low setting on the backside of the screen, or a hand steamer, being careful not to leave water spots.
Use new golf balls free of scuffs, grass stains, or marker, and keep your clubs clean. Protect the edges and grommets from direct strikes. Impact screens are wearable products and may show wear early with heavy use, but they are built to withstand many thousands of strikes over their life.
