This is the most common question we get. The EYE XR ($5,999) mounts behind the hitting zone, uses AI club tracking (no stickers), and installs with a single PoE cable -- it is the simplest overhead to set up. The EYE XO2 ($10,999) mounts directly overhead with 3 IR cameras and the largest hitting zone at 28"x21" -- more forgiving for off-center hits and better suited for multi-bay commercial setups. If you want the easiest install and lowest cost, go XR. If you need maximum hitting zone coverage or run a teaching studio, go XO2.
Foresight Sports (GC3, GCQuad, QuadMAX) and Bushnell (Launch Pro, LPi) are floor-based camera systems used on pro tours. Uneekor takes a different approach: overhead mounting (XR, XO, XO2) eliminates recalibration between shots and allows instant left/right switching. Uneekor also includes all ball and club data free with the Player package -- Foresight charges extra for club data add-ons. For dedicated simulator rooms, Uneekor overhead models offer a cleaner permanent installation. For portable use or fitting studios that need tour-validated data, Foresight is the standard. Minimum recommended room dimensions: 10' wide x 15' deep x 9' ceiling height. For comfortable play with a driver, 12' wide x 18' deep with 10' ceilings is ideal. Overhead models (XR, XO, XO2) require 9-10' ceiling height for sensor mounting. The EYE XR mounts 3.5' behind the tee at ceiling level. Floor models (MINI, MINI LITE) sit on the ground and need less vertical clearance but the same floor space. Our screen enclosures come in sizes starting at 10.5'W x 8'H x 5'D.
Yes -- this is a major advantage of overhead models. The EYE XR, EYE XO, and EYE XO2 all allow instant left/right switching with no recalibration and no physical repositioning. Just step up and swing. Floor models (EYE MINI, EYE MINI LITE) require repositioning the unit to the opposite side of the ball, similar to other floor-based launch monitors.
The EYE MINI is the only Uneekor designed for outdoor use -- it is battery-powered, portable, and works at the driving range, in the backyard, or on the course. All other models (MINI LITE, XR, XO, XO2) are indoor-only and require a permanent or semi-permanent installation.
Yes. All five Uneekor models are compatible with GSPro, E6 Connect, and TGC 2019 (all sold separately). You need the Pro subscription ($199/yr) or higher to enable third-party software. The free Player package includes Uneekor View Software with full ball and club data, driving range mode, and up to 100 saved reports.
Dimple Optix is how every Uneekor reads the ball: high-speed cameras track the dimple pattern on a standard golf ball, so you play the ball you trust with no markings, stickers or special balls, and still get measured spin rate and spin axis. Club Optix is the other half -- slow-motion video of the club through impact, so you can see a toe strike or a fat contact instead of guessing at it. Both are on all five models we carry, at no extra cost. What changes up the lineup is not the ball reading but the club reading: the EYE XR tracks the club with no stickers at all, while the EYE MINI, MINI LITE, XO and XO2 use the included clubface stickers.
All Uneekor launch monitors except the portable EYE MINI require a Windows PC. Minimum: Windows 10/11, Intel i5 (or AMD equivalent), 8GB RAM, USB 3.0. For GSPro or E6 Connect: dedicated GPU (GTX 1660 or better), 16GB RAM recommended. We carry SurfThing simulator PCs that are pre-configured and tested specifically for Uneekor -- plug in and play.
