Follow Electric Golf Caddies
Hands-Free Golf: Your Caddy Follows You
An auto-follow caddy walks behind you automatically. Once follow mode is on, there is no remote steering: just walk and the caddy follows. Two kinds of follow technology make this possible: AI camera vision and a tracker you wear. Each has strengths depending on your course and playing style.
Every follow caddy below also includes remote control as a backup for tight spots, cart paths, or when you want direct control. All feature lithium batteries and automatic downhill control, rated for 36 holes on the NAVEE Birdie 3X and Formula Pursuit and 18 holes on the Robera Pro.
- 3 follow caddies from $1,359.99 to $2,299
- Every model includes remote control as a backup steering mode

How Auto-Follow Technology Works
Each caddy uses a different method to track and follow you. Understanding the difference helps you pick the right one.
AI Camera Vision
Robera Pro
A camera mounted on the caddy literally sees you and the course. It recognizes golfers, steers around obstacles such as other golfers and trees, and stops before bunkers and ponds. Responds to hand gestures.
UWB Radio Tracking
NAVEE Birdie 3X
You carry a small transmitter clipped to your belt. The caddy tracks the transmitter using Ultra-Wideband radio with centimeter-level precision. Reliable, consistent, works in any weather. Follows you, not the environment.
Belt-Worn Sensor
Cart Tek Formula Pursuit
A wearable sensor on your belt lets the caddy track you at a fixed distance. The Pursuit also includes remote control and manual steering -- three modes in one caddy.

Auto-Follow Electric Golf Caddy FAQ
AI camera (Robera Pro) is the smartest -- it sees obstacles and responds to gestures. UWB radio (NAVEE Birdie 3X) tracks a UWB transmitter you wear. The Formula Pursuit tracks a sensor on your belt and adds remote and manual modes. If you want obstacle avoidance, choose Robera. If you want the lowest price, choose NAVEE. If you want follow + remote + manual in one caddy, choose Pursuit.
Yes, with caveats. All three work well on open fairways. The Robera Pro camera sees obstacles, but another person within 3 meters of it can take over the follow lock. UWB (NAVEE) works in any weather but does not detect obstacles. On narrow paths or tight doglegs, you may want to switch to remote mode.
It can happen with the Robera Pro: if another person walks within 3 meters of the camera, it can lock onto them. Pair the remote fully before each round and stay within 3 meters of the caddy when you start Follow mode. The NAVEE Birdie 3X tracks your specific UWB transmitter -- other golfers' caddies will not interfere. The Formula Pursuit tracks the sensor on your belt.
The Robera Pro follows at a distance you set between 1 and 5 meters, and the Formula Pursuit tracks you at a fixed distance. The caddy speeds up or slows down to match your walking pace.
The caddy stops when you stop. When you resume walking, it follows again.
Yes. All three models include a remote control as a backup or alternative mode. You can switch between follow and remote at any time. The Formula Pursuit adds a third option: manual steering.
Most follow caddies here are rated for 36 holes on a single charge; the Robera Pro is rated for 18 holes. The Robera Pro has a 299Wh battery and the NAVEE Birdie 3X a 220Wh battery. A full charge takes about 4 hours on the Formula Pursuit, 4.5 hours on the Robera Pro and about 7 hours on the NAVEE Birdie 3X. Lithium batteries maintain consistent power throughout the round. Charge after every round for maximum battery longevity.
Most courses that allow electric caddies also allow follow caddies. Some courses restrict motorized equipment on certain paths or greens -- check with your pro shop. Follow caddies use the same quiet motors as remote models and leave no more impact than standard push carts.
