Lithium Battery Golf Caddy FAQ
Lithium batteries are lighter than lead-acid, charge faster, and maintain consistent power throughout the round. Lead-acid batteries lose power as they drain, making the caddy sluggish on the back nine. Every caddy we sell uses lithium. We do not carry lead-acid models.
It depends on the model and the terrain. The Robera Pro is rated for 18 holes, and Motocaddy rates its extended 28V battery for 36 holes on a single-motor M-Series caddy. Real-world range depends on terrain, speed settings, and temperature.
Charge time depends on the model: about 3 to 5 hours for Motocaddy's 28V batteries, 3 to 4 hours for the Cart Tek Galaxy Titan, 4.5 hours for the Robera Pro and about 7 hours for the NAVEE Birdie. We recommend charging after every round for maximum battery longevity.
Yes. All models use removable lithium batteries. Replacement batteries are available from each manufacturer. Motocaddy uses a standard 28V CLICK 'N' CONNECT battery across all models. Cart Tek and other brands use model-specific batteries.
Most electric golf caddy batteries exceed the FAA/TSA limit of 100Wh for carry-on lithium batteries. For example, the NAVEE Birdie 3X uses a 220Wh battery and the Robera Pro uses 299Wh. Both are well above the limit. You cannot check lithium batteries in luggage either. For destination golf, ship the battery separately via UPS Ground (lithium batteries can ship ground), or contact us at 1-888-871-6110 and we can help coordinate shipping to your destination.
Care differs by brand, so follow the manual for your caddy. Motocaddy, for example, says to store its lithium battery fully charged in a dry place and to charge it only between 50°F and 86°F (10°C to 30°C).
