Lead-acid batteries lose power as they drain, making the caddy sluggish on the back nine. Every caddy we sell uses lithium — we do not carry lead-acid models.
All models are rated for 36 holes on a single charge. Real-world range depends on terrain, speed settings, and temperature. Most golfers get 2-3 full rounds between charges. Battery lifespan is typically 5+ years or 500+ charge cycles with proper care.
Full charge takes 4-6 hours depending on the model. Motocaddy's 28V batteries charge in approximately 4-5 hours. We recommend charging after every round for maximum battery longevity.
Yes. All models use removable lithium batteries. Replacement batteries are available from each manufacturer. Motocaddy uses a standard 28V CLICK 'N' CONNECT battery across all models. Cart Tek and other brands use model-specific batteries.
Most electric golf caddy batteries exceed the FAA/TSA limit of 100Wh for carry-on lithium batteries. For example, the NAVEE Birdie 3X uses a 220Wh battery and the Robera Pro uses 400Wh — both well above the limit. You cannot check lithium batteries in luggage either. For destination golf, ship the battery separately via UPS Ground (lithium batteries can ship ground), or contact us at 1-888-871-6110 and we can help coordinate shipping to your destination.
Store at room temperature (50-80°F) in a dry location. Charge after every round and do not leave the battery fully depleted for extended periods. During the off-season, charge to approximately 50-60% and top off every 4-6 weeks. Avoid charging in extreme cold (below 32°F) or extreme heat (above 110°F).
