DIY Golf Simulator Studio
The DIY Golf Simulator Studio is a home golf simulator studio without the launch monitor, for golfers who already own one or plan to add one later: a Carl's Place DIY enclosure with a premium impact screen in six sizes, a Real Feel hitting mat, and a short-throw laser projector with its ceiling mount. No launch monitor is included, so you are not paying again for hardware you already have. Every pick updates the price, the 3D view redraws the enclosure, mat, landing pad and projector you choose, and the whole build goes to your cart as one package.

Room needs by launch monitor type
The DIY Golf Simulator Studio ships without a launch monitor. The enclosure, screen, mat and projector are the same whichever unit you use, so it takes a radar that sits behind the ball, a camera unit beside the ball or an overhead unit on the ceiling. What changes is the room each one needs:
- Behind the ball: Swing Caddie SC4 PRO, Garmin Approach R10, Rapsodo MLM2PRO, FlightScope Mevo Gen2, Full Swing KIT, FlightScope X3C. These sit behind the tee, so the room gets deeper: 17 ft 9 in for the Garmin R10, 18 ft 3 in for the Rapsodo MLM2PRO, 19 ft 9 in for the FlightScope Mevo Gen2 and Full Swing KIT, and 20 ft 9 in for the FlightScope X3C.
- Beside the ball: SkyTrak ST MAX, Bushnell LPi Circle B Edition, Uneekor EYE MINI LITE, Bushnell Launch Pro Circle B Edition, Uneekor EYE MINI, Foresight Sports GC3S, Garmin Approach R50, Foresight Sports GC3, Foresight Sports GCQuad, Foresight Sports QuadMAX. These sit across from the golfer and fit the standard 16 ft 9 in depth.
- Overhead, on the ceiling: Uneekor EYE XR, Uneekor EYE XO, ProTee VX, TruGolf APOGEE, Uneekor EYE XO2, Foresight Sports Falcon. These need a ceiling height inside the maker's range: 9 to 10 ft for the Uneekor EYE XO, ProTee VX and TruGolf APOGEE and 9.5 to 10.5 ft for the Foresight Falcon, with a drop mount for a taller ceiling; check the maker's range for any other overhead unit.

Carl's Place DIY Enclosure
The Carl's Place DIY Golf Simulator Enclosure frames the hitting bay. Every size in this package ships with the triple-layer Premium impact screen, a pre-cut 1-inch EMT pipe framing kit, foam inserts, a pair of 8 ft net wall extensions and an overhead safety baffle.
Room minimum, to the inch. Width is Carl's overall frame plus a 3 in buffer on each side; height is the frame plus 3 in above; depth is 12 in behind the frame, the 67.375 in frame, 5 ft 1 in from the frame to the tee (10 ft from the screen, the closest Carl's says to hit from) and 5 ft behind the tee to swing, which is 16 ft 9 in for every size. A launch monitor that sits behind the ball replaces those 5 ft with its maker's setback, which makes it 17 ft 9 in for the Garmin R10, 18 ft 3 in for the Rapsodo MLM2PRO, 19 ft 9 in for the FlightScope Mevo Gen2 and Full Swing KIT, and 20 ft 9 in for the FlightScope X3C. Figures are rounded up to the next inch.
Power. Plan an outlet at the ceiling for the projector and one near the tee for the launch monitor and computer.
Hitting mat
The package ships with the Real Feel Country Club Elite Golf Mat, 5'W x 5'L. Its long, dense fibers let you swing down and through the turf the way you would off a fairway, it takes a real wooden tee, and the base absorbs the strike to ease the strain on your joints.

Optional: Tour Golf Landing Pad
The Tour Landing Pad cushions and quiets balls dropping off the screen, keeps them from scuffing the floor, and bridges the gap between the mat and the enclosure. The builder offers the width that matches your bay, always 8 ft long:

- 11'W x 8'L for the 10'W enclosure
- 11.5'W x 8'L for the 10.5'W enclosure

Projector and ceiling mount
The Optoma ZW350ST is the included projector: 3,600 lumens, a 30,000-hour DuraCore laser with no bulb to replace, and a 0.521:1 short throw, so it mounts close to the screen and out of the swing. Seven BenQ short-throw projectors are available in the builder, from the 1080p TH671ST to the 5,100-lumen 4K LK936ST, and the ceiling mount switches to the right model for whichever projector you choose. Remove the projector and the mount goes with it. The projector calculator shows the mount distance for your screen size.

GSPro, FSX Play and E6 Connect for Windows run on a gaming-class PC, and the one you pick here arrives ready for them. SurfThing builds them for golf simulation: 32GB DDR5, a 2TB SSD and an NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPU, in a desktop tower or a laptop. With the desktop PC, add the SurfThing DT2424H 23.8-inch touch screen to start rounds, review data and scrub swing video without walking back to a keyboard. It is not offered with the laptop, which has its own screen.

We're proud to say we are an Authorized Dealer/Distributor for all the brands we carry. All our products come directly from the manufacturer. Your projector and computer are covered by their manufacturer's warranty from the date of the original purchase, subject to its conditions and limitations. Carl's Place screens and enclosure materials are wearable goods, so they do not carry a warranty. Some marking and wear from the first sessions is normal, and how long a screen lasts depends on skill level, how often you play and how it is installed. If something looks unusual rather than like normal wear, send us photos and your order number and we will take it up with Carl's Place.
All impact screen sales are final with no returns. Because fit and material choice matter, measure your space before ordering.

Please inspect your purchase when your package arrives. Product received damaged must be noted with the freight carrier at time of delivery.
