Choose your launch monitor, or bring your own
Twenty-two launch monitors are available on this page, from the Swing Caddie SC4 PRO and Garmin Approach R10 to the Foresight Sports GCQuad and QuadMAX. Carl's Place Pro Golf Simulator Enclosure
The Carl's Place Pro Golf Simulator Enclosure is Carl's Place's premium enclosure, built for dedicated simulator rooms, golf academies and luxury home bays. Its rigid 2-inch EMT frame and higher screen tension hold the screen flatter than a standard build, and a projected image shows every ripple in a loose screen. The BlackStop wraparound is one continuous piece of black-out fabric, so there are no seams between panels for light to leak through. The triple-layer Premium screen puts a sharp picture up front and quiets the impact behind it, and its cabled bottom edge pulls the image down to the turf with no border. Foam inserts, steel corner fittings, cable receivers, springs, zip ties and a frame cut diagram are in the box. The screen and enclosure are made in the USA.
Room minimum, to the inch. Width is Carl's overall frame plus a 3 in buffer on each side; height is the frame plus 3 in above; depth is Carl's 12 in of clearance behind the screen, which covers the 9.5 in backset rear fitting, then 10 ft from the screen to the tee and 5 ft behind the tee to swing, which comes to 16'0" for every depth because the enclosure sits inside that run instead of adding to it. Figures are rounded up to the next inch. Depths are true to size: 69.5, 105.5, 129.5 and 189.5 in overall, including the 9.5 in backset rear fitting.
Power. Everything in the package plugs into ordinary 120 V household outlets; no dedicated circuit or hardwiring is needed. The projectors run on a 100 to 240 V supply and draw 139 W (Optoma ZW350ST) to 440 W (BenQ LK936ST), a gaming PC is a standard desktop tower or laptop, and the launch monitor runs on a small power adapter or its own battery, so one 15 A circuit carries the whole bay. Plan an outlet at the ceiling for the projector and one near the tee for the launch monitor and computer.
Depth is the choice that changes the room. A deeper enclosure puts more of the room inside the BlackStop, which catches and absorbs what the screen does not and blocks more light from the image, and the depth pipes are where the Movable Ceiling Crossbar for the projector or an overhead launch monitor mounts, so a deeper frame gives you more room to place them.
Pipe Framing Kit and Safety Baffle, included
Bought on its own, the Pro kit comes with the fittings and a cut diagram, and you buy and cut the 2-inch EMT yourself. This package includes the Pipe Framing Kit instead: every 2-inch steel EMT pipe pre-cut to your enclosure size and delivered by standard ground carriers. No freight truck to schedule, no hardware store trip, no cutting. Change the enclosure size in the builder and the kit follows it; uncheck it only if you are sourcing your own EMT.
The Safety Baffle hangs above the hitting area and stops a ball that skips off the top of the screen before it reaches the ceiling, lights or projector. It is sized to your enclosure width and follows it the same way. The Movable Ceiling Crossbar is optional: a stand-alone bar with fittings, pipes and a fabric sleeve sized to your width that slides anywhere along the depth pipes and locks in place to carry the projector or an overhead launch monitor.
Hitting mat
The package ships with the Real Feel Country Club Elite Golf Mat, 5'W x 5'L. Its long, dense fibers let you swing down and through the turf the way you would off a fairway, it takes a real wooden tee, and the base absorbs the strike so your joints do not.

Optional: Tour Golf Landing Pad
The Tour Landing Pad cushions and quiets balls dropping off the screen, keeps them from scuffing the floor or rolling under the enclosure, and bridges the gap between the mat and the screen. The builder preselects the size we recommend, one foot wider than the enclosure, with the length matched to the depth: 8 ft on a 5 ft deep bay, 9 ft on 8 ft, 11 ft on 10 ft and 16 ft on 15 ft. Runs over 8 ft are two pads laid end to end. The Width and Length menus let you go wider or longer, and the width is cut to your exact number after ordering.

Projector and ceiling mount
The Optoma ZW350ST is the included projector: 3,600 lumens, a 30,000-hour DuraCore laser with no bulb to replace, and a 0.521:1 short throw, so it mounts close to the screen and out of the swing. Seven BenQ short-throw projectors are available in the builder, from the 1080p TH671ST to the 5,100-lumen 4K LK936ST. The included ceiling mount tilts and rotates for image alignment and switches to the right model for whichever projector you choose. Carl's Universal Projector Mount is in the builder too: flush to a level ceiling, bolted to the enclosure frame, or on a 6 in to 9 in, 12 in to 18 in, 2 ft to 3 ft or 3 ft to 5 ft drop for a level or a sloped ceiling. Remove the projector and the mount goes with it. The projector calculator shows the mount distance for your screen size.
The mount distance under each projector in the builder is measured from the viewable screen of the enclosure size you pick, not the frame, with the picture sized to fill that screen in the projector's own shape: 16:9 for the BenQ models, 16:10 for the ZW350ST. When the projector's shape matches the screen, the picture fills it exactly; when it differs, the picture matches the screen on one side and runs past it on the other. On a 4:3 Pro size the picture fills the height and comes out wider than the screen, and the extra width lands past the white screen on the frame or the enclosure walls. That is normal: set the simulator PC (display or graphics settings) or the projector, if it has a screen-fit setting, to your screen's shape and those strips stay dark. With the included ZW350ST on the base 10.5'W x 8'H enclosure, that puts the lens about 6.3' from its 10' x 7.5' viewable screen.

Simulation software such as GSPro, E6 Connect and FSX Play needs a gaming-class computer, and the one you pick here arrives ready for it. SurfThing builds them for golf simulation: 32GB DDR5, a 2TB SSD and an NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPU, in a desktop tower or a laptop. With the desktop PC, add the SurfThing DT2424H 23.8-inch touch screen to start rounds, review data and scrub swing video without walking back to a keyboard. It is not offered with the laptop, which has its own screen.

We're proud to say we are an Authorized Dealer/Distributor for all the brands we carry. All our products come directly from the manufacturer. Your launch monitor, projector and computer are covered by their manufacturer's warranty from the date of the original purchase, subject to its conditions and limitations. Carl's Place screens and enclosure materials are wearable goods, so they do not carry a warranty. Some marking and wear from the first sessions is normal, and how long a screen lasts depends on skill level, how often you play and how it is installed. If something looks unusual rather than like normal wear, send us photos and your order number and we will take it up with Carl's Place.
All impact screen sales are final with no returns. Because fit and material choice matter, measure your space before ordering.
