View EYE XO2Uneekor Technology Explained
Uneekor uses photometric (camera-based) tracking -- high-speed cameras capture the ball and club at impact, then software analyzes those frames to calculate speed, spin, angle, and trajectory. This is fundamentally different from radar-based systems (Trackman, FlightScope Mevo+) that track the ball in flight.
Ball Optix
Every Uneekor model. High-speed cameras photograph the ball at impact and after separation. Reads spin rate, spin axis, launch angle, ball speed, and side angle directly from captured images -- no assumptions, no radar extrapolation.
Club Optix
Floor models (MINI LITE, MINI). Dedicated cameras capture club head data at impact. The MINI LITE runs at 180fps with club stickers included. The MINI requires reflective stickers on the club face for club data capture.
Dimple Optix
Overhead models (XR, XO, XO2). Reads the dimple pattern on the golf ball to calculate spin without markings or special balls. Also captures club data from above -- no stickers needed. Any standard golf ball works.
Photometric vs. Radar
Photometric systems measure what happens at impact. Radar systems track flight and infer impact data. For indoor simulation, photometric is generally more accurate for spin measurement because it observes the ball directly rather than extrapolating.
Overhead vs. Floor Mounting
| Feature | Floor-Mounted (MINI LITE, MINI) | Overhead (XR, XO, XO2) |
|---|---|---|
| Mounting | Sits on floor beside ball | Ceiling-mounted above hitting area |
| Hitting Zone | Fixed position relative to unit | 13.7" - 28" wide depending on model |
| L/R Switching | Requires repositioning unit | Instant -- no adjustment needed |
| Stickers Required | MINI requires club stickers; MINI LITE does not | Dimple Optix ball tracking on all overhead models |
| Portability | MINI is portable (battery); MINI LITE is stationary | Permanently installed |
| Installation | Plug in and play | Ceiling mount + wiring required |
| Best For | Portable use, budget setups, range practice | Dedicated simulator rooms, commercial studios |

View PackageRoom Requirements & Setup Guide
| Dimension | Minimum | Recommended | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ceiling Height | 9 feet | 10+ feet | Most critical -- must swing driver freely |
| Room Width | 10 feet | 12+ feet | Enclosure + clearance on both sides |
| Room Depth | 15 feet | 18+ feet | Enclosure depth + space behind golfer |
Floor Models (MINI LITE, MINI)
Floor placement beside the ball. MINI LITE needs a PC nearby (wired). MINI is wireless and portable. Simplest installation -- no ceiling work needed. Best for garages, basements, and rooms where ceiling mounting is not possible.
Overhead Models (XR, XO, XO2)
Ceiling mount required. XR supports PoE for a single-cable run. XO and XO2 need power and data cables. Professional installation recommended for optimal positioning. Factor in 4-6 inches of unit depth when calculating swing clearance.

Frequently Asked Questions About Uneekor
Uneekor makes two floor-mounted models (EYE MINI LITE and EYE MINI) and three overhead-mounted models (EYE XR, EYE XO, and EYE XO2). Floor models sit beside the ball and are either stationary (MINI LITE) or portable (MINI). Overhead models mount to the ceiling and offer instant left/right switching, and larger hitting zones. Overhead models require permanent installation; floor models are plug-and-play.
No. Every Uneekor launch monitor includes all ball and club data points with no subscription fees or unlock charges. The free View Software provides a virtual driving range and full data display. Subscriptions are only required for premium features like third-party software integration (GSPro, E6 Connect), AI coaching, and Uneekor Refine courses. The Pro tier at $199/year unlocks third-party software for most users.
For most home setups, the EYE XO ($8,000) offers the best balance of accuracy, data depth, and price. It tracks 24 data points with high-speed cameras and has proven reliability. If budget is tight, the EYE MINI LITE ($2,749) delivers impressive accuracy at the lowest price. If ceiling mounting is not possible, the floor-mounted models are your only Uneekor options.
Uneekor, Foresight, and Trackman all deliver professional-grade accuracy. Uneekor includes all data with no subscription fees, while Foresight charges for club data on some models (GC3S, GCQuad). Trackman 4 costs $20,000+ and is primarily for tour professionals. Uneekor's overhead models offer instant L/R switching and no stickers -- a significant advantage for indoor simulators. Foresight's Falcon ($15,999) has a larger ball tracking zone but costs nearly double the XO2.
Uneekor works with GSPro (200,000+ courses), E6 Connect, TGC 2019, Creative Golf 3D, ProTee Play, and Uneekor's own Refine/Refine+ platform. Third-party software requires a Pro subscription ($199/year) or higher. Software licenses are purchased separately from the software provider. The free View Software is always available for practice and data analysis.
Minimum: 9-foot ceilings, 10 feet wide, 15 feet deep. Recommended: 10+ foot ceilings, 12+ feet wide, 18+ feet deep. Ceiling height is the most critical measurement. Overhead models hang from the ceiling, so subtract unit depth from swing clearance. Garages, basements, and spare rooms with adequate height all work well.
Same cameras, same resolution, same 24 data points. The difference is the hitting zone: XO2 at 28" x 21" vs. XO at 12" x 16" -- over 3x the area. The larger zone means less precision in ball placement, better compatibility with trouble mats, and more forgiving use with multiple golfers. The XO2 costs $11,000 vs. $8,000 for the XO.
For View Software, modest PC specs work. For GSPro or E6 Connect, you need a gaming-grade PC with a dedicated GPU (NVIDIA GTX 1660 or better). Uneekor All-In-One packages offer an optional SurfThing Gaming PC or Laptop pre-configured for simulator use.
