Garmin Approach R50 Launch Monitor is the core of this system, delivering tour-level tracking through its triple-camera technology and built-in 10" touchscreen. It provides fast, accurate ball and club data, high-quality impact visuals, and access to thousands of virtual courses through Garmin Golf ($99.99/year). Its compact footprint and intuitive interface make it one of the most user-friendly launch monitors available for home simulator setups.

Carl's Place DIY Enclosure
The Carl's Place DIY Golf Simulator Enclosure builds a clean, fully contained hitting bay. Every size in this package ships with the triple-layer Premium impact screen, a pre-cut 1-inch EMT pipe framing kit, foam inserts, a pair of 8 ft net wall extensions and an overhead safety baffle. BlackStop light-absorbing fabric keeps the picture bright with less bounce-back.
Room minimum, to the inch. Width is Carl's overall frame plus a 3 in buffer on each side; height is the frame plus 3 in above; depth is 12 in behind the frame, the 67.375 in frame, 5 ft from the frame to the tee (10 ft from the screen) and 5 ft behind the tee to swing, which is 16 ft 8 in for every size. Figures are rounded up to the next inch.
Hitting mat
The package ships with the Real Feel Country Club Elite Golf Mat, 5'W x 5'L. Its long, dense fibers let you swing down and through the turf the way you would off a fairway, it takes a real wooden tee, and the base absorbs the strike so your joints do not.

Optional: Tour Golf Landing Pad
The Tour Landing Pad cushions and quiets balls dropping off the screen, keeps them from scuffing the floor, and bridges the gap between the mat and the enclosure. The builder offers the width that matches your bay, always 8 ft long:

Projector and ceiling mount
The Optoma ZW350ST is the included projector: 3,600 lumens, a 30,000-hour DuraCore laser with no bulb to replace, and a 0.521:1 short throw, so it mounts close to the screen and out of the swing. Seven BenQ short-throw projectors are available in the builder, from the 1080p TH671ST to the 5,100-lumen 4K LK936ST, and the ceiling mount switches to the right model for whichever projector you choose. Remove the projector and the mount goes with it. The projector calculator shows the mount distance for your screen size.

Simulation software such as GSPro, E6 Connect and FSX Play needs a gaming-class computer, and the one you pick here arrives ready for it. SurfThing builds them for golf simulation: 32GB DDR5, a 2TB SSD and an NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPU, in a desktop tower or a laptop. With the desktop PC, add the SurfThing DT2424H 23.8-inch touch screen to start rounds, review data and scrub swing video without walking back to a keyboard. It is not offered with the laptop, which has its own screen.

Warranty
We're proud to say we are an Authorized Dealer/Distributor for all the brands we carry. All our products come directly from the manufacturer. Your launch monitor, projector and computer are covered by their manufacturer's warranty from the date of the original purchase, subject to its conditions and limitations. Carl's Place screens and enclosure materials are wearable goods, so they do not carry a warranty. Some marking and wear from the first sessions is normal, and how long a screen lasts depends on skill level, how often you play and how it is installed. If something looks unusual rather than like normal wear, send us photos and your order number and we will take it up with Carl's Place.
Returns
All impact screen sales are final with no returns. Because fit and material choice matter, measure your space and pick your screen carefully before ordering, or call us at 1-888-871-6110 and we will help you choose.
