The Carl's Place DIY Golf Simulator Enclosure builds a clean, fully contained hitting bay. Every size in this package ships with the triple-layer Premium impact screen, a pre-cut 1-inch EMT pipe framing kit, foam inserts, a pair of 8 ft net wall extensions and an overhead safety baffle. BlackStop light-absorbing fabric keeps the picture bright with less bounce-back.

Width is Carl's overall frame plus a 3 in buffer on each side; height is the frame plus 3 in above; depth is 12 in behind the frame, the 67.375 in frame, 5 ft 1 in from the frame to the tee (10 ft from the screen, the closest Carl's says to hit from) and 6 ft 6 in behind the tee for the Rapsodo MLM2PRO (Rapsodo places it 6.5 to 8.5 ft behind the ball), which is 18 ft 3 in for every size. Figures are rounded up to the next inch.

Projector and ceiling mount
The Optoma ZW350ST is the included projector: 3,600 lumens, a 30,000-hour DuraCore laser with no bulb to replace, and a 0.521:1 short throw, so it mounts close to the screen and out of the swing. Seven BenQ short-throw projectors are available in the builder, from the 1080p TH671ST to the 5,100-lumen 4K LK936ST, and the ceiling mount switches to the right model for whichever projector you choose. Remove the projector and the mount goes with it. The projector calculator shows the mount distance for your screen size.

Which enclosure size should I choose?
Pick the widest kit whose room minimum fits, then the aspect ratio: 4:3 (10', 10.5', 11.5' and 12' kits) gives the tallest picture for the width and needs 8'3" to 9'7" of height, 16:9 (13' kit) is the widescreen shape for rooms that are wide but not tall, and 1:1 (8' kit) is the square screen for a narrow bay. All six use the same 5 ft deep frame.

Your launch monitor, projector and computer are covered by their manufacturer's warranty from the date of the original purchase, subject to its conditions and limitations. Carl's Place screens and enclosure materials are wearable goods, so they do not carry a warranty. Some marking and wear from the first sessions is normal, and how long a screen lasts depends on skill level, how often you play and how it is installed. If something looks unusual rather than like normal wear, send us photos and your order number and we will take it up with Carl's Place.
All impact screen sales are final with no returns. Because fit and material choice matter, measure your space before ordering.

Here's a few quick tips before you head to the range to use your MLM. After installing the app, you're required to accept the Terms and Agreements. On my iPhone 8 Plus there was no visible box to check. It's to the left of the Terms and Agreement line. Then the Save button will light up and you can continue. When you get to the section where it should recognize your MLM and it's blank, (the serial number should appear) Close the app, delete the app and reload it. It took me 3-4 times before the serial number came up and I was able to connect the MLM. Last tip - Fully charge your iPhone or iPad. Using bluetooth, the camera, the gps, and the microphone uses a lot of power. My sessions with my iPhone 8 plus lasted about 30 minutes due to the iPhone going into lower power mode. It's very accurate on distance calculation...right on with my range finder yardage. So, if you like to practice, this unit is an affordable gadget that will show you your club yardage, shot direction and a few other parameters. Being able to actually review your video of each shot is really cool along with the aerial view of where all the shots landed. I give it a thumbs up.
I haven’t had much time to use it, fitgolf keeps hassling me for a review. I am working myself to a single plane swing and am not to the point of actually hitting the ball yet but I do look forward to its uses when I do. The one time I did use it, the driving range was full, as it has a tendency to be when the weather becomes nice in Maine, and I saw consistency in the club head speed but the ball track would occasionally hit one of my neighbors ball. It took me a couple of minutes to figure that out. My phone died really quick and it’s tough to plug in an aux battery when using. I like the unit itself though, nice and compact with a great case.
I was amazed how easy it was to use the Rapsodo launch monitor and how much information you get from the app. When I showed it to one of my golf groups many of them wanted to get one.
As always Ivan was very helpful and knowledgeable in my decision to purchase the Rapsodo launch monitor. His customer service and fast shipping is the best. The Rapsodo seems very accurate and easy to set up. Only problem was I was having trouble seeing the screen on my phone, due for a new phone and thinking I’ll look at a bigger phone screen or possibly an iPad mini. I would recommend the Rapsodo for anyone going to the range to practice, the information it presents allows you to accurately know what every shot is doing and the distance with every club. Enjoy the practice and “hit them straight”.

Rhapsodic machine is a beast! I love it. I’m not a great golfer so it really helps me narrow does my yardages on my clubs. I love the fact I can review everything afterwards. Erase bad shots. I’ve changed golf balls due to club head speed being slower than I thought.

Have been using the Rapsodo MLM with an indoor net setup (in the garage). Initially setup the MLM with an iPad -- the MLM was not functioning. Then to troubleshoot, we switched to an iPhone. This fixed the problem and now the MLM picks up and provides data for every shot. The MLM/iPhone to the ball should be approx 6'-5" to 7' and then the ball to the net should be at least 8' -- though we noticed that the longer the run from the ball to the net, the better the MLM reading (so we have our run from ball to net at approx 10' -- we'd go longer but simply don't have enough space). But no matter what we do, the indoor net MLM readings are approx 10 to 15 yards short of true distance -- while short, they are consistent so it's just simple addition (MLM distance + 10/15 yards) to understand your true distance. Regardless, we would recommend.

As a new golfer, I am taking lessons and practicing daily both at home and at the range with my MLM. The MLM provides video and valuable data with shot tracing that my instructor uses to analyze my swing. The MLM improved my game tremendously! Before the MLM, on a course with a slope rating of 127, I was shooting in the mid 140s – did I say I am new to golf. After 2 weeks with the MLM I shot 129 on the same course! Before MLM, I was driving the ball 165-170 yards. Now I am consistently driving the ball over 200! I can clearly say my improvement is a direct result of my instructor’s feedback and analysis of the data and video from the MLM!
