FAQ
Mini Net & Mat Package Questions
What comes in The Net Return Mini Net & Mat Package?
The package includes The Net Return Mini net and frame (5'W x 6'H x 3'6"D); Pro Turf hitting mat, 6'W x 10'L; Side barriers, one pair (right and left); 4 sandbags to anchor the side barriers; Duffle bag for the net and side barriers; Instruction manual. It ships as two parcels: the net and side barriers in one box, and the Pro Turf rolled and poly wrapped in the other.
How much room does The Net Return Mini Net & Mat Package need?
The Mini net is 5' wide, 6' high and 3'6" deep. The Net Return suggests a room about 7' wide with a ceiling of about 7' to 7'6" and about 14' from the wall behind the net to the wall behind you.
How does the auto ball return work?
The Net Return's patented S-shape design absorbs the force of the ball and returns it gently back to you. The 10' Pro Turf runs from the net to your stance, so the ball rolls back on a continuous surface.
Do I need the side barriers?
The Net Return calls them highly recommended for indoor use, family practice, or anywhere errant balls are a safety concern. They come in this package, set up in under five minutes, angle out from the net on the sandbags, and walk back into the frame when you want the floor space.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes. The netting is UV-treated polyester and the frame is powder-coated tubular aluminum with stainless steel push buttons, made for indoor and outdoor use. The Net Return recommends four sandbags on the base of the frame outdoors.
Can I use a launch monitor with it?
Yes. The Net Return works with launch monitors, and its setup guide puts the ball about 5 to 10 ft from the net when you use one. To buy the net and a launch monitor together, the Golf Simulator Net Package adds one from 22 options, and the Golf Simulator Builder sizes a full setup to your room.
How long does setup take?
Under 5 minutes, with no tools. The color-coded Quick Color Connect frame snaps together with push buttons, and the side barriers take under five minutes more.
Can I use the Pro Turf for putting?
Yes. Pro Turf is a 42 oz nylon face on 5 mm foam, used for hitting and putting indoors or outdoors, with a Stimp speed of around 10. It rolls up like a carpet for storage.
Is it only for golf?
No. The Net Return says its nets also work for soccer, baseball and other sports.
How does it ship?
It ships as two parcels: the net and side barriers in one box, and the Pro Turf rolled and poly wrapped in the other. It usually ships within 1-3 business days when in stock. Manufacturer delays can happen; we email tracking the moment it ships. Shipping is free within the contiguous 48 states; we do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.

It was easy to install and i thought there may be issues since i use indoors, but it has been great.
Loving this net. I feel more secure about hitting full swings in my backyard without the worry of it going to my neighbors yards or windows. Shipping was also fast!
Great piece of equipment . So functional. Perfect design. Very versatile . Highly recommend!
Works great at stopping high shots. Super easy install
For a patio or inside set up, having the No Fly Zone V2 is an excellent option for the Net Return! Ordering through top shelf golf was great! The online ordering process was seamless and the delivery time was excellent. I also appreciated the emails I received keeping me updated on the shipping status!
Excellent Product and Amazing Customer Service!
It’s been brilliant! 10 HCP here, and the home package has been the perfect intro into the home driving range craze. The mat is fine, easily as good as the mats at my local GC and the size (6x10) is a huge bonus as it allows the ball to roll easily back to you. The NetReturn works perfectly. Well struck shots to the center, come straight back. Anything to either side comes back at slight angle. Very intuitive. I paired the home pkg with a SkyTrak (original model) and have it set up on the deck out back which overlooks an open space (green belt) with a view. I’m more than thrilled.
Have been a customer since 2020 when I ordered the simulator package with the Mevo+, hitting mat, and The Net Return setup. Also have added the impact screen and side nets.. all have been amazing products & doing business with Top Shelf Golf has been great. Thanks for making my winter in Iowa bearable.
The Net Return Universal Side Barriers for Pro V2 & Home (V2 / Classic) Nets
Great customer service from start to end. The prov2 fits perfectly in my garage. The net is very durable. Side netting are great protection from my bad hits. It can be use for other sports. The turf is thick and soft, easy on the elbows. Would recommend for a simple simulator set up that is affordable and easy to assemble.
Got this for my High School Girls Golf team to practice indoors in the spring and we absolutely love it. When used with our R10 launch monitor, it allows us to do more than hit foam balls in a gym. We actually get a real practice in with full swings. It is high quality and will serve us for years to come. Highly recommend!
The Net Return Universal Side Barriers for Pro V2 & Home (V2 / Classic) Nets
The net works perfectly. I'm able to rip drives at it and it easily handles it.
I was looking for a net that was portable, easy to setup, and allowed me to hit all my clubs. This net is perfect. When I use my lob wedge I just move the net closer and it works great. I can take it outside in the summer. It returns the ball every time so you don’t need a bunch of golf balls. I use the Garmin Approach R10 which requires 8 feet from ball to net. I haven’t seen issues when I pull the net closer when hitting wedges. I went with the 8’ tall version and very happy with it.
Setup in the garage. I love experimenting between clubs, balls, and swing tempos. Immediate feedback on club head speed, ball speed, carry, spin rate are all useful tools. I have already increased my club head speed by 5mph in about a weeks time. More to come.......
Net works perfectly. Extremely well built. Can't wait to finish the set up. Shipping was super fast!
Service and sales was above standard and the shipping was super quick
This is great to help our team improve in the winter months. Cannot wait to see the improvements especially with our younger players
I’ve always heard good things about the net returns and decided to purchase for a small indoor practice room. It fits great in the room and does a nice job of returning the ball gently to hit again. I also bought the side barriers, but haven’t had a chance to set them up yet. We might only use those when we setup outside in the summer.
Protects the surrounding area from errant shots.. more than we like to admit!
The Net Return Universal Side Barriers for Pro V2 & Home (V2 / Classic) Nets
Love this net! Setup and tear down in minutes.. quiet and effective. This net is making us look forward to swinging the clubs all winter long!
The Net Return net is perfect. We set up an inexpensive simulation experience. Garmin Approach R10 Net Return package. Super easy to set up. Ran it through an IPad with display on a 43” TV. Works perfect. Will get us through the Wisconsin winter!
Outstanding. Delivery and set-up a breeze. A quality product.
A necessity but still make sure to stand as close as possible. Easily flop a 60 degree blade. A must have though!
Outstanding quality, look and ease of assembly. A few extra touches and it is perfect. I would suggest standing as close as possible with your wedges. I easily put one over the top from the driving mat. Side curtains a must have. All in all I am more then satisfied with my purchase. Great product(s)!
The Net Return Universal Side Barriers for Pro V2 & Home (V2 / Classic) Nets
The "No Fly Zone" extension has been a great addition to my simulator set-up. It has eliminated the high shots from flying over the net. This has allowed more confidence when practicing wedge shots and working with children on their game. Great Product, thank you. P. Acton
Quality and ease of installation are great and really does "net Return", one ball is all that's needed. A little bigger than expected but probably necessary. I didn't see any need for the side nets. I'm guessing may be needed for more stability if outside due to wind and such but in my basement against a wall, not needed.
Was worried about spending the extra Money to buy this one . Glad I did . It’s really good in the garage . You need the sand bags if you hitting driver . Fill a ziplock bag with sand and put zipper NR bag . The sand will wreck that zipper
I set up the net return in my back yard. Super easy assembly and it works great. You can tell this product is going to last a long time. I’m new to golf but the majority of the time the ball returns right back to the spot I swung from. Highly recommend!
Ordered the Netreturn and SkyTrak from Top Shelf Golf. Both shipped on-time and as promised.Very happy with my purchase and the service.
Outstanding product! Easy to set up and move around. Ball comes right back to you every time.
No Fly Zone is essential in my house of glass. But then again I never miss. The NFZ is like the Patriot missile system knocking errant shots down. Fits my V2 net and is an insurance policy in case my wife hits a stray shot!
Side barriers are necessary in my house of glass. But then again I never miss. The barriers fit my V2 net and is an insurance policy in case my wife hits a stray shot!
The Net Return Universal Side Barriers for Pro V2 & Home (V2 / Classic) Nets
Extremely easy to set up. Color coding of frame makes it mistake proof. The golf ball does return just as advertise. No need for a golf ball tray, Seems very durable.
The Net Return Universal Side Barriers for Pro V2 & Home (V2 / Classic) Nets
We bought the no fly zone extension after a few shots flew over the top of the net with wedges. It seems to have stopped the issue of balls going over the net. We are happy with the product.
Great product. Took 10 minutes to put together.
The Home series net is great, especially in smaller areas. The one downside is the frame. It is a lighter duty steel. The opional side barrier kit comes with 4 sandbags. Two of them are used to weight the rear of the net frame down. The net is more stable with the addition of the sandbags. I give it 5 stars.
The Net Return Universal Side Barriers for Pro V2 & Home (V2 / Classic) Nets
Great golf system!
Instructions were detailed and included a link to a video for step by step for assembly. I really like the net and feedback system associated with the ball return.
Absolutely great addition to the pro net return v2!!! While we all would love to swing perfect every single time, there will be shots where we come in too steep and under the ball and this extension works like a champ! Great company and great product!!!
I had a very limited window for the delivery and Ivan and the guys at Topshelf were super attentive and got the product to me exactly as they said they would. The net itself is great, looks great quality and easy to assemble. The only issue was that my other product (practice tees) didn't arrive when we had agreed and so I didn't receive that product.
