Carl's Place DIY Enclosure
The Carl's Place DIY Golf Simulator Enclosure builds a clean, fully contained hitting bay. Every size in this package ships with the triple-layer Premium impact screen, a pre-cut 1-inch EMT pipe framing kit, foam inserts, a pair of 8 ft net wall extensions and an overhead safety baffle. BlackStop light-absorbing fabric keeps the picture bright with less bounce-back.
Room minimum, to the inch. Width is Carl's overall frame plus a 3 in buffer on each side; height is the frame plus 3 in above; depth is 12 in behind the frame, the 67.375 in frame, 5 ft from the frame to the tee (10 ft from the screen) and 5 ft behind the tee to swing, which is 16 ft 8 in for every size. Figures are rounded up to the next inch.

The package ships with the Real Feel Country Club Elite Golf Mat, 5'W x 5'L. Its long, dense fibers let you swing down and through the turf the way you would off a fairway, it takes a real wooden tee, and the base absorbs the strike so your joints do not.

The Tour Landing Pad cushions and quiets balls dropping off the screen, keeps them from scuffing the floor, and bridges the gap between the mat and the enclosure. The builder offers the width that matches your bay, always 8 ft long:

Projector
Projector and ceiling mount
The Optoma ZW350ST is the included projector: 3,600 lumens, a 30,000-hour DuraCore laser with no bulb to replace, and a 0.521:1 short throw, so it mounts close to the screen and out of the swing. Seven BenQ short-throw projectors are available in the builder, from the 1080p TH671ST to the 5,100-lumen 4K LK936ST, and the ceiling mount switches to the right model for whichever projector you choose. Remove the projector and the mount goes with it. The projector calculator shows the mount distance for your screen size.

Simulation software such as GSPro, E6 Connect and FSX Play needs a gaming-class computer, and the one you pick here arrives ready for it. SurfThing builds them for golf simulation: 32GB DDR5, a 2TB SSD and an NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPU, in a desktop tower or a laptop. With the desktop PC, add the SurfThing DT2424H 23.8-inch touch screen to start rounds, review data and scrub swing video without walking back to a keyboard. The SkyTrak ST MAX sits beside the ball and adds nothing to the room minimum. Before you order, put a ball where the tee will go and take a slow, full swing with your longest club.
Which enclosure size should I choose?
Pick the widest kit whose room minimum fits, then the aspect ratio: 4:3 (10', 10.5', 11.5' and 12' kits) gives the tallest picture for the width and needs 8'3" to 9'7" of height, 16:9 (13' kit) is the widescreen shape for rooms that are wide but not tall, and 1:1 (8' kit) is the square screen for a narrow bay. All six use the same 5 ft deep frame.

The SkyTrak ST MAX All-In-One Golf Simulator does not include simulation software or a computer. Simulation software for the SkyTrak ST MAX is licensed separately, and a gaming computer is optional in the builder. Your launch monitor, projector and computer are covered by their manufacturer's warranty from the date of the original purchase, subject to its conditions and limitations. Carl's Place screens and enclosure materials are wearable goods, so they do not carry a warranty. Some marking and wear from the first sessions is normal, and how long a screen lasts depends on skill level, how often you play and how it is installed. If something looks unusual rather than like normal wear, send us photos and your order number and we will take it up with Carl's Place.
All impact screen sales are final with no returns. Because fit and material choice matter, measure your space before ordering.

Oh my so much fun. Actually harder than real golf. But I bought this to improve my game.
We love our setup in the garage. We got everything from TopShelf golf and that made it very easy. The retractable screen is excellent and Skytrak+ is pretty great. We also got the TGC 2019 with our purchase and that works well. Installation was easy and my wife and kids all love it. Topshelf had good customer service and overall I highly recommend these products and Topshelf!

Had a loft upstairs that was not being used at all. This setup fits perfectly. The complete combination is perfect for practice and game playing. I wish I had set this up years ago!
I came from the original SkyTrak and I'm really enjoying the new metrics on the SkyTrak+ compared to the old one. The new swing path and face angle info has helped me correct bad habits and find the feeling of swinging "in to out" more. While there are still the occasional misreads/no-reads, they seem to be much less common than the original.
One of the most impressive things about the SkyTrak home golf simulator is its accuracy. As you can see in the video all you have to do is place the ball on the little red light. The simulator uses advanced technology to accurately track your ball flight, providing you with a precise picture of your shot's trajectory, spin, and speed. This level of accuracy is unmatched by other home golf simulators, and it makes the SkyTrak an excellent choice for serious golfers who want to improve their game. Out of other simulators I’ve tried like the mevo + and the garmin the SkyTrak is my favorite for an indoor simulator. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a limited amount of space indoors!!

It's great that you can reclaim the space with the Homecourse Pro Screen. I installed it just right above the garage door, but it ended up too short, with about 1 foot gap below. To clear the garage door, I installed it at 8'4" above finish floor to the bottom screen housing. Based on the manual, installing it between 8' and 9' should have been okay, but now I'll need to look some sort of platform below so that the screen is resting correctly. Other than that, I know I'll enjoy having this setup, pairing this screen with Skytrak will provide much more practice time at home.
One of the tubes came bent. Called and had a new tube the next day, awesome service and the back there equipment. They were always there when I had a question. Great service
This simulator is perfect for training my great granddaughters learning the great game of golf. They are already using it before we got it completely setup and love to see the results of their shot. DIY SIMULATOR GARAGE BUILD: The Skytrack product speaks for itself. I tried a budget device but it was so complicated to set-up with cameras and angles and other math involved that I sent it all back and went with the Skytrack. Skytrack is what it says it is: very easy setup, very easy to interface (TGC 2019) and so damn fun to use. I had it operational a full day before guests were arriving. The challenge I had was with 21 coming for Thanksgiving and many of those looking forward to using the Simulator. Since it was the Monday before I was stuck because the original launch monitor was not functioning. I surfed Golf Retailers and ended up calling them not trusting the inventory positions online. I was ecstatic when Top Shelf told me, "we have the Skytrack in stock and I can call our Distribution Center and ensure it is expedited to you." Sure enough, actual follow through and they made it happen. I received it in Oregon the next day after ordering it at 2pm Eastern Time. Unbelievably good coordination and attitude to get it done. Plus I was hitting balls in the Garage Simulator with 8 of my 21 guests. Outstanding!
