How to Set Up E6 Connect with Swing Caddie SC4 PRO

The Swing Caddie SC4 PRO comes with complimentary simulator software: E6 Connect with five photorealistic courses and a driving range. The SC4 PRO user manual does not cover E6 Connect, so this guide pulls the steps from Voice Caddie's and TruGolf's own setup documentation.

This guide walks through every step in order: physical setup of the SC4 PRO, Bluetooth pairing with the VOICECADDIE S app, E6 Connect account creation, product key redemption, software install on PC or iPad, and the final pairing between E6 Connect and the launch monitor. By the end you will be playing Aviara, Bandon Dunes, Stone Canyon Club, Sanctuary, or Wade Hampton in your own bay.

What is Included With the SC4 PRO E6 Connect Bundle

Before any setup, confirm what's in your box. Top Shelf Golf ships the SC4 PRO with:

• SC4 PRO launch monitor unit
• Magnetic remote control
• USB cable
• User manual
• Carrying pouch
• E6 Connect product key, if one is provided in your packaging

The SC4 PRO Alignment Stand is not included with units shipped from Top Shelf Golf.

TruGolf's SC4 PRO instructions say to create an account at portal.e6golf.com and redeem any product key provided in your SC4 packaging. Keep the key until it has been redeemed (step 4).

What You Need Before Starting

You can run E6 Connect with the SC4 PRO on either a PC or an iPad/iPhone. Voice Caddie officially supports both paths. You will need:

• A device that meets the E6 Connect system requirements (full table further down)
• An internet connection. TruGolf lists it as required for E6 Connect on PC, and license activation runs online
• A hitting surface with at least 10 feet of ball flight from impact to your net or impact screen
• Standard golf balls only. Voice Caddie says the unit is not designed to assess non-standard golf balls, and does not recommend practice or foam balls
• Clear floor space 5 feet directly behind the ball for the SC4 PRO unit and stand
• Either a display connected to your PC (TV, projector, monitor) or your iPad screen for the simulator graphics

Step 1: Set Up Your SC4 PRO Hardware

Voice Caddie's official setup is short and specific. Get this right before touching any software.

1. Open the SC4 PRO stand fully.
2. Place the SC4 PRO 5 feet directly behind the ball. Voice Caddie's setup page says to place it directly behind the tee within 4 1/2 to 5 feet.
3. Align the unit's red center line with the ball and your target. Voice Caddie calls this the alignment line and notes that incorrect alignment can reduce the accuracy of data.
4. Set the base level with the top of your hitting surface. The unit must sit on the same plane as the ball, not lower or higher.
5. Press the Power/+ button on the back for 2 seconds to turn the unit on.
6. Confirm the mounting angle on the LCD reads 0. Voice Caddie's optimal mounting angle is exactly 0. If the value is off, adjust the stand before pairing.

Step 2: Pair the SC4 PRO Over Bluetooth

The SC4 PRO connects to phones and tablets over Bluetooth through Voice Caddie's VOICECADDIE S app. The older My Swing Caddie app is not for this unit: Voice Caddie's listing says it is compatible with the SC4, SC300i and SC300 only, and that the SC4 PRO requires the VOICECADDIE S app. Pair the app first so you can check firmware, because TruGolf asks for the latest firmware before you connect to E6 Connect.

1. Install the VOICECADDIE S app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and log in.
2. Place the device close to the SC4 PRO and turn the unit on.
3. Tap the button in the upper right corner of the app's main screen.
4. Tap your SC4 PRO in the device list when it appears.
5. Read the 6-digit PIN shown on the SC4 PRO's screen (the manual's example is 972354).
6. Enter the PIN in the app and tap the confirm button.
7. The unit's LED turns blue when the Bluetooth connection succeeds.

To update firmware, open the app's Main Menu and select the Update tab; the Update button activates when new firmware is available. Pairing with VOICECADDIE S does not connect the SC4 PRO to E6 Connect. E6 Connect pairs with the unit on its own in step 6 below.

Step 3: Create Your E6 Connect Account

E6 Connect is published by TruGolf. TruGolf's SC4 PRO instructions send you to its portal at portal.e6golf.com to create an account and redeem your product key.

1. Open portal.e6golf.com in any browser on your PC, iPad, or phone.
2. Click Sign Up. If you already have an E6 Connect account, log in with that account instead.
3. Enter your email address, a password of 8 characters or more, and an E6 display name.

Step 4: Redeem Your E6 Connect Product Key

1. Sign in at portal.e6golf.com with the account you created above.
2. Redeem the product key provided in your SC4 PRO packaging.
3. Open Licenses from the account icon in the top-right corner, then click the down arrow on your license to see the Permissions, Courses and Tracking Systems it includes.

Voice Caddie lists five complimentary courses for the SC4 PRO (Aviara Golf Club & Resort, Bandon Dunes, Stone Canyon Club, Sanctuary, Wade Hampton Golf Club) plus one driving range. Check the Courses list on your license to confirm what your key unlocked.

Step 5: Download and Install E6 Connect

The download path differs depending on whether you are running E6 Connect on a PC or on an iPad/iPhone.

Installing E6 Connect on a Windows PC

1. Open connect.e6golf.com/update/e6-connect/ on the PC you will use for the simulator.
2. Download the E6 Connect installer.
3. Run the installer and accept the install location. TruGolf recommends 25 GB of hard drive space.
4. After installation, E6 Connect shows the License Activation screen. Click Login and enter the email and password for your E6 Connect account from step 3.
5. On the Select License screen, choose your license and click Activate.

Installing E6 Connect on an iPad or iPhone

1. Open the App Store on the iPad or iPhone.
2. Search for E6 Connect (published by TruGolf). The current iOS app ID is 1360027026.
3. Install the app.
4. Launch it and sign in with your E6 Connect account.
5. Each E6 Connect license can be bound to one computer or device at a time. If you activated it on a PC first, unbind it at portal.e6golf.com (Licenses, then Unbind From Simulator) before moving it.

TruGolf's App Store listing names the supported iOS devices as iPad Pro (1st generation) or newer and iPhone 8 or newer, says M1 devices are not supported, and warns that E6 Connect may not run well on older or weaker devices such as the iPad Air or Mini.

Step 6: Launch E6 Connect and Pair the SC4 PRO

Last step. With the SC4 PRO powered on and 5 feet behind the ball:

1. Open E6 Connect on your PC or iPad.
2. Go to Settings (gear icon) and then Simulator.
3. Under Tracking System, find Voice Caddie or Swing Caddie SC4 in the list.
4. Click Configure. E6 Connect scans over Bluetooth; select your device when it appears.
5. If prompted, enter the 6-digit PIN shown on the SC4 PRO's screen.
6. Once connected, the SC4 PRO screen switches to SIM and the status icon in E6 Connect turns green. Click Accept, return to the main menu and pick a course or the driving range.
7. Hit a shot. The SC4 PRO's data will populate inside E6 Connect and the ball will fly on screen.

On a PC, do not pair the SC4 PRO in the Windows Bluetooth settings menu; E6 Connect handles the connection directly. Common SC4 PRO E6 Connect Setup Issues

E6 Connect cannot find the SC4 PRO over Bluetooth

Make sure the SC4 PRO is powered on, then close the Voice Caddie app on your phone completely. TruGolf notes that if the Voice Caddie app is running in the background, it may lock the Bluetooth connection and keep E6 Connect from finding the unit. On a PC, pair from inside E6 Connect, not from the Windows Bluetooth menu.

Courses do not appear in my E6 Connect library

The product key has not been redeemed yet, or you are signed into the wrong E6 Connect account. Sign in at portal.e6golf.com and open Licenses to check the courses on each license. If E6 Connect says no licenses are available, every license on the account is bound to another computer or device; unbind it in the portal and try again.

Shots are tracked by the SC4 PRO but E6 Connect shows no ball flight

The launch monitor is likely still connected to the VOICECADDIE S app instead of E6 Connect. Close the Voice Caddie app completely, then in E6 Connect go to Settings, Simulator, select the Voice Caddie tracking system and click Configure to pair again. When E6 Connect has the connection, the SC4 PRO screen shows SIM.
