  • Edge-to-edge panorama: The curved screen envelops your field of vision, putting the entire fairway in view for true on-course depth.
  • Tour-tough construction: Heavy-duty impact fabric and a rigid steel frame shrug off 250 mph shots yet assemble in a single afternoon.
  • Home charm, commercial muscle: Sleek enough for a living room bay, rugged enough for nonstop play in revenue-driving studios.
Carl's Place

Curved Golf Simulator Enclosure Kit

The Carl's Place Curved Golf Enclosure Kit wraps your impact screen in a gentle curve for a panoramic, wraparound view that keeps more of the course in your peripheral vision. Built around a triple-layer impact screen rated to 250 mph and designed for DIY installation, it turns a spare room, garage, or basement into a complete home golf bay.

Made in the USA and offered in 18 sizes with two screen choices, the curved design adds a sense of depth a flat screen cannot, so serious home golfers get a finished, full-size setup without hiring a contractor.

  • Curved wraparound design pulls the screen around your stance for a deeper, more enveloping view than a flat panel
  • Triple-layer impact screen rated to 250 mph ball speed
  • 18 sizes — 14 to 17 ft wide, up to 15 ft deep, in two screen choices
  • DIY-friendly, hand-sewn, and made in the USA

Why Go Curved

A Screen That Wraps Around Your Swing

The curve is not just for looks. Angling the side panels forward brings the edges of the image around you, so the course spans more of your view instead of ending at a flat rectangle.

Panoramic Curved View

The gentle wrap draws the projected image into your peripheral vision for a stronger sense of standing on the course.

Triple-Layer Impact Screen

A cushioned center layer absorbs and quiets impact, rated to withstand thousands of strikes at up to 250 mph while holding a crisp image.

Built for DIY Installation

Ships as a complete kit with steel corner fittings, zip ties, and detailed instructions — no contractor and no proprietary tools required.

Made in the USA

Each impact screen and single-piece BlackStop™ enclosure is manufactured by Carl's Place in the United States to a consistent, tested standard.

18 Sizes for Any Room

From 14 to 17 feet wide and 8 to 15 feet deep, in 9, 9.5, and 10-foot heights — pick the footprint that fits your space, not the other way around.

Two Screen Choices

Choose the Premium triple-layer screen or the High-Contrast Gray screen for added image depth and clarity in brighter, well-lit rooms.

Room Planning

Space You Will Need

The Curved kit uses depth to create the wrap, so plan for room behind the hitting area as well as width and ceiling height.

Width14 ft to 17 ft
Height9 ft, 9.5 ft, or 10 ft
Standard Depths8 ft, 10 ft, or 15 ft
Curve Rise54 in

The curve is formed by the side walls angling back, so a deeper footprint produces a fuller wraparound — shallower rooms still work with the 8 ft depth. Not sure which footprint fits? See our golf simulator room size guide for minimum dimensions before you choose a size.

Is It Right for You

Who the Curved Enclosure Is Built For

The Realism-First Golfer

You want the game to feel real. The wraparound curve fills your view and closes the gap between a screen and a course.

The Dedicated-Room Builder

You have a spare room, garage, or basement set aside for a permanent bay and want it to look and play like a finished studio.

The DIY Installer

You would rather build it yourself over a weekend than pay a contractor, and you want a complete kit with clear instructions.

The Serious Home Golfer

You practice year-round and want a durable, triple-layer screen that holds up to daily driver swings without wearing out.

250 MPH Real-Ball Impact Rating

The impact speed the triple-layer screen is built to take repeatedly, so it stays taut and quiet long after cheaper single-layer screens stretch or tear.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Curved enclosure different from a flat one?

The Curved kit angles its side walls back so the impact screen wraps gently around the hitting area. That wraparound fills more of your peripheral vision, adding depth and realism a flat screen cannot — while using the same triple-layer impact screen as our flat enclosures.

What comes in the kit?

Each kit includes the triple-layer impact screen in your chosen material, the single-piece BlackStop™ enclosure, steel corner fittings, all required zip ties, and detailed assembly instructions — made in the USA. The 2-inch EMT frame pipe is supplied by you or added as an optional Pipe Framing Kit.

What sizes does the Curved enclosure come in?

There are 18 size configurations: 14 to 17 feet wide, 8 to 15 feet deep, in 9, 9.5, and 10-foot heights. Each size is also offered with either the Premium or High-Contrast Gray screen, so you can match the kit to your exact room.

What is the difference between the Premium and High-Contrast Gray screens?

Both are triple-layer impact screens. The Premium screen is the standard bright-white surface; the High-Contrast Gray Premium Golf Screen adds image depth and clarity in brighter, well-lit rooms by deepening blacks and reducing washout.

How much room do I need?

Plan for the size you choose plus clearance behind the hitting area for the curved side walls. The smallest footprint is 14 feet wide by 8 feet deep at 9 feet tall; deeper rooms produce a fuller wraparound. See our golf simulator room size guide for minimum swing and ceiling clearances.

Do I need to supply the frame?

The kit is built around a 2-inch EMT steel pipe frame. You can source the pipe locally to save on shipping, or add the optional Pipe Framing Kit to receive everything pre-measured. The steel corner fittings, zip ties, and instructions are always included.

Can I install it myself?

Yes. The Curved enclosure is designed for DIY installation and ships with detailed instructions. Most builders complete assembly with basic hand tools over a weekend — no contractor and no proprietary hardware required.

What else do I need to complete my simulator?

The Curved kit is the enclosure and screen. To finish a full bay you add a launch monitor, a short-throw projector, a hitting mat, and a PC or tablet to run your sim software. Our team can help you match compatible components to your room.

How far away should I stand from the impact screen?

For the safety of both the golfer and the screen, the manufacturer recommends standing a minimum of 10 to 12 ft from the screen. This distance also helps prevent premature wear on the material.

Can I iron or steam the impact screen?

The manufacturer does not recommend ironing the screen, as it is easy to damage. Mounting the screen under tension and letting it relax for a couple of days smooths out most wrinkles. A clean, consumer-grade steamer with distilled water can speed up the process without leaving water marks.

How do I extend the life of my golf screen?

Use new golf balls free of scuffs, grass stains, or marker, and keep your clubs clean. Protect the edges and grommets from direct strikes. Impact screens are wearable products and may show wear early with heavy use, but they are built to withstand many thousands of strikes over their life.

Does Top Shelf Golf offer financing?

Yes. Affirm financing is available at checkout, so you can spread the cost of your enclosure and simulator build into fixed monthly payments. Choose Affirm at checkout to see your options.

What is the warranty and return policy?

Carl's Place impact screens and enclosure materials are wearable products and do not carry a warranty, and all impact screen sales are final with no returns. Because fit and material choice matter, measure your space and pick your screen carefully before ordering, or call us at 1-888-871-6110 and we will help you choose.
