The Flightscope Mevo Gen 2 works perfect for my outdoor setup. I have a bout 10' of ball flight and the numbers are what I expect. I also like being able to take this launch monitor to the range to get numbers.

FlightScope's Fusion Tracking combines patented Doppler radar with synchronized image processing. The two work together to deliver accurate ball and club numbers indoors and outdoors.
Track ball speed, carry, spin rate, spin axis, launch, club speed, smash factor, and more across full swing, chipping, and putting. Every number you need to understand your game and make targeted improvements.
The free FS Golf and FS Skills apps and the included E6 Connect course bundle are lifetime licenses. No monthly fees, no annual renewals: buy it once and own everything.
Play Kiawah Ocean, Torrey Pines South, Kapalua Plantation, Valderrama, and four more world-class courses through the included E6 Connect bundle on iOS and PC.
Practice all day on a single charge. The USB-C rechargeable battery delivers up to 6 hours of use and tops up fast between sessions, with no proprietary cables or spare packs to manage.
Use it indoors with a net or screen, or outdoors with full ball flight at the range. At 17.6 oz it slips into your bag, so the same unit that anchors your sim room comes with you to the course.
Measured by Fusion Tracking on every full swing, with no marked clubs required.
Captured with any standard golf ball outdoors. Indoors, place an included aluminum sticker on the ball (or use a Titleist RCT ball) for accurate spin.
The Mevo Gen2 ships with free apps and a lifetime course bundle. Connect to leading third-party simulators when you want more.
You want tour-level Fusion Tracking accuracy without a recurring subscription. At $1,299 with lifetime software, the Mevo Gen2 delivers serious data for the money.

*The Mevo Gen2 uses an included aluminum sticker (or a Titleist RCT ball) for accurate spin indoors; no sticker is needed outdoors.

Charge the Mevo Gen2 fully over USB-C before first use. A full charge delivers up to 6 hours of practice, so you can run long sessions without a power outlet nearby.
Install the free FS Golf app on your iOS, Android, or Windows device and create your FlightScope account. The E6 Connect course bundle activates on iOS and PC.
Place the Mevo Gen2 about 8 feet behind the ball, aligned to your target, with 8 feet of ball flight to your net or screen indoors. For accurate indoor spin, add an included aluminum sticker or use a Titleist RCT ball.
Connect your phone, tablet, or PC to the Mevo Gen2 and confirm the live connection in FS Golf. Mount your device where you can read the data between shots.
Practice with live data and the Shot Tracer in FS Golf, sharpen up with FS Skills challenges, or load an included E6 Connect course for a full round at home.
Swing and watch your numbers and auto-recorded video appear in real time. Review the data overlay, track trends, and share clips with your coach or online.
FlightScope places the Mevo Gen2 8 ft behind the tee and asks for 8 ft of ball flight. Those two distances are what your room has to give you before any enclosure is counted, and they are why a Mevo Gen2 build is deeper than a camera build in the same enclosure.
Nothing is mounted and nothing stands beside the ball: the Mevo Gen2 goes on the floor 8 ft behind the tee and the net catches the shot. Measure back from the net frame: FlightScope asks for 8 ft of ball flight and 8 ft behind the tee, and the net's own frame stands in front of that.
Every width of the Net Return Simulator Bay stands 8 ft 6 in tall and 3 ft 6 in deep and can sit 6 in from a wall. Its side barriers leave the floor behind the tee free, which is where the Mevo Gen2 has to sit.
The Carl's DIY kit needs 19 ft 9 in of room depth with the Mevo Gen2 behind the ball. On its own the kit fits at 16 ft 9 in; a launch monitor behind the ball replaces the 5 ft of swing space that figure allows for.
The Pro enclosure needs at least 16 ft 0 in of room depth on its own, and 19 ft with the Mevo Gen2 behind the ball. The frame is free-standing, so the unit sits on the floor behind you and nothing attaches to it.
Same 19 ft as the Pro Enclosure: both publish their 16 ft 0 in depth as 12 in behind the screen, 10 ft from the screen to the tee and 5 ft behind the tee to swing, and the Mevo Gen2 behind the ball replaces that 5 ft with its own setback.
Carl's plans a Built-In room as 12 in behind the screen, at least 10 ft from the screen to the tee and about 7 ft of swing room around you. With the Mevo Gen2 behind the ball, its 8 ft behind the tee takes the place of that swing room.
Our pick: the Pro Enclosure. At 19 ft with the Mevo Gen2 behind the ball it needs less depth than the Carl's DIY kit at 19 ft 9 in and the same as the Curved Screen, and its frame is free-standing, so nothing has to be fixed to a wall.

The Mevo Gen2 measures 6.9" W x 1.2" D x 5.6" H and weighs 17.6 oz (0.5 kg). It uses Fusion Tracking (Doppler radar plus image processing), runs up to 6 hours on a USB-C charge, and works with iOS 17+, Android 12+, and Windows 10/11. Indoors it needs about 8 feet from the unit to the tee plus 8 feet of ball flight to a net; outdoors, 8 feet from the unit to the tee with unrestricted ball flight. Indoors, an included aluminum sticker or a Titleist RCT ball is needed for accurate spin.
The Mevo Gen2 measures 20 data parameters across full swing, chipping, and putting, including ball speed, carry, roll, total distance, vertical and horizontal launch angle, spin rate, spin axis, apex height, flight time, lateral landing, shot type, club speed, smash factor, and angle of attack. Two optional upgrades expand the data: the Pro Package unlocks 11 advanced data parameters, including club path, face angle, vertical/horizontal swing plane, and low point, and the Face Impact Location add-on tracks the precise point of ball-to-clubface contact.
Eight world-class courses are included on iOS and PC: Kiawah Island Ocean Course, Torrey Pines South, Kapalua Plantation, Sea Island Seaside, Latrobe Country Club, Pelican Hill, Château Whistler, and Valderrama. The E6 Connect bundle is a lifetime license.
No. The FS Golf app, FS Skills app, and the E6 Connect course bundle are all lifetime licenses, so there are no monthly or annual fees to use the Mevo Gen2.
Yes. Fusion Tracking is built for both indoor net practice and unrestricted outdoor ball flight. Outdoors, position the unit 8 feet behind the ball with a clear view down your target line; no stickers are needed outdoors. Indoors, use an included aluminum sticker or a Titleist RCT ball for accurate spin.
Up to 6 hours on a single USB-C charge, enough for a full practice session or a round of simulated golf without plugging in.
The included E6 Connect bundle (8 courses) runs on iOS and PC. The Mevo Gen2 is also compatible with third-party simulators including GSPro and Awesome Golf (each sold separately) if you want a larger course library.
Each Mevo Gen2 ships with the Mevo Gen2 unit, power supply, USB-C cable, carry case, quickstart guide, and 100 aluminum stickers.
The Mevo Gen2 uses Fusion Tracking (radar plus image processing) and includes 8 E6 Connect courses with no subscription, while the Garmin Approach R10 uses Doppler radar and relies on the Garmin Golf app for course play. The R10 is the more affordable entry point with a huge Home Tee Hero course library; the Mevo Gen2 steps up in measured data and bundled simulation. See our launch monitors under $3,000 guide for a full breakdown.
The Mevo Gen2 is FlightScope's newer model, with upgraded tracking technology compared to the Mevo+. It runs up to 6 hours on a charge versus 3 hours for the Mevo+, charges over USB-C, and has a taller, more compact vertical design. The Mevo Gen2 includes an 8-course E6 Connect bundle; the Mevo+ includes a 12-course bundle, and Mevo Gen2 owners can add those 12 courses for a one-time $250. Both units support the Pro Package and Face Impact Location add-ons. The Mevo+ is no longer part of our lineup.

All six of our formats: Net, Floating Screen, DIY Enclosure, Pro Enclosure, Curved Screen and Built-In Screen. The Mevo Gen2 sits on the floor 8 ft behind the tee, so nothing has to be mounted to the enclosure. What changes between them is depth: the Pro Enclosure and the Curved Screen need 19 ft, and the Carl's DIY kit needs 19 ft 9 in.
It starts with the 8 ft behind the tee FlightScope asks for. The Pro Enclosure and the Curved Screen need 19 ft, up from the 16 ft 0 in each needs on its own. The Carl's DIY kit needs 19 ft 9 in, up from 16 ft 9 in. Carl's plans a Built-In room as 12 in behind the screen, at least 10 ft from the screen to the tee and about 7 ft of swing room around you, and behind the ball the unit takes the place of that swing room. A net build adds no enclosure: it needs the 8 ft behind the tee and 8 ft of ball flight FlightScope asks for, plus the depth the net frame itself takes.
Yes. The Curved Screen publishes the same 16 ft 0 in depth model the Pro Enclosure does: 12 in behind the screen, 10 ft from the screen to the tee and 5 ft behind the tee to swing. The Mevo Gen2 behind the ball replaces that 5 ft with its own setback, for the same 19 ft the Pro Enclosure needs.
The Mevo Gen2 is covered by a 12-month limited hardware warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
FlightScope hardware may be returned for a refund within 30 days of the date of receipt, less shipping, and any applicable restocking fees. Product(s) must be returned to FlightScope in the same condition as it was received and with all of its original packaging (Including boxes, bags, accessories, etc.). Customer assumes the risk of loss and is responsible for shipping and handling fees for returning/exchanging a product. Unless the product is defective or the return is a direct result of a FlightScope error, FlightScope will charge a restocking fee of 3% for the FlightScope Mevo Gen2, plus any applicable sales tax; Unless otherwise prohibited by law.
